Oaxacan
Lineage notes
Oaxacan is an equatorial highland landrace carried out of the mountains of southern Mexico, one of the native sativas that fueled the American smoking scene of the 1970s. Its long-flowering plants throw an earthy, incense-like smoke laced with berry and roasted cocoa. The high comes on slowly and turns clear, buzzy and almost psychedelic rather than heavy. Genuine Oaxacan stock has grown scarce, but its energetic character still echoes through classic crosses like Purple Thai.
