Connect your AC Infinity controller

Link your AC Infinity account so your tent's temperature, humidity, and VPD log themselves into your grow.

What this does

If you run an AC Infinity controller, it's already measuring your tent's temperature, humidity, and VPD every few minutes. Connecting it here pipes those numbers straight into one of your grows: the readings you'd normally type into your weekly log fill themselves in, and your grow gets a live environment chart. You set it up once, then forget about it.

Connected Grow is a Premium feature. Logging a grow by hand is always free; this just automates the environment side for growers who own the gear.

Before you start

Three things need to be in place. The connection reads from AC Infinity's cloud, so your controller has to be the kind that goes online (a Controller 69 Pro or similar) and already set up in the AC Infinity phone app.

  • A Grow & Tell Premium membership.
  • Your AC Infinity account: the same email and password you use to sign in to the AC Infinity app.
  • A grow already started here, so there's somewhere for the readings to land.

If your controller isn't showing live numbers in the AC Infinity app over Wi-Fi yet, set that up there first. Grow & Tell can only read what AC Infinity's cloud can see.

Connect it

Open Settings and find the Connected Grow section. Under "AC Infinity," enter the email and password for your AC Infinity account, not your Grow & Tell password. Choose which grow the readings should stream into, then select Connect.

We sign in once and store a secure access token, never your password. Nothing is installed on your controller, and you can disconnect at any time.

Open Connected Grow in Settings

What happens next

From then on your tent's readings sync on their own, with the first one usually landing within about fifteen minutes. Your grow's page gains a "Live environment" panel charting the last two weeks of temperature, humidity, and VPD. And when you go to add your weekly entry, the environment fields are already filled in from your controller's latest reading, so you just confirm them instead of typing.

Checking that it's working

Back in the Connected Grow section, your linked controller shows which grow it feeds and how it's doing:

  • "Awaiting first sync" — you just connected; give it about fifteen minutes.
  • "Synced" with a time — everything's working.
  • A red message — something needs attention, usually that the link expired or the AC Infinity password changed. Disconnect and connect again to clear it.

Using other sensors (advanced)

No AC Infinity, or want to pull from a different sensor? If you run Home Assistant, or anything that can send data over the web, you can create a personal access token in the same Connected Grow section under "Home Assistant / device tokens" and have your system push readings on a schedule. This route is more hands-on and meant for technical setups; the AC Infinity link above needs none of it.

If something looks off

A few quick checks if the numbers don't show up or don't look right:

  • No readings after twenty minutes? Open the AC Infinity app and confirm the controller is online and showing numbers there.
  • Only temperature, humidity, and VPD are read. Values that fall outside sensible ranges are skipped on purpose, so a glitchy reading can't dirty your grow data.
  • If you have more than one controller, the link uses the first one on your account.
  • A red error that won't clear usually means the stored link expired. Disconnect and reconnect.

Gear for this

We recommend AC Infinity because it's what we run ourselves and we trust it to do the job. We're not affiliated with or sponsored by them; it's simply the gear we believe in. Other links point to retailers for parts AC Infinity doesn't make.
